How Cheemly works: from question to checked output
Understand how structures, calculations and sources enter the same workflow, and what the checks can and cannot establish.
A chemistry question is a workflow
Cheemly first identifies the target and requested task, then selects suitable specialist work and chemistry tools. A drawing, explicit structure or clear name helps settle the target. A request to explain a method is different from a request to run an engine.
Tool results inform the explanation
Tools process structures, search references and run supported operations with specified inputs. The answer writer turns those results into an explanation. Missing tool output must not be described as a successful search. Route scores should come from real retrosynthesis output, and NMR predictions must remain labelled predictions.
Checks have a scope
Relevant structure, reaction, source and completion checks run before the chemistry answer is shown. Failures may cause a correction or an explicit limitation. Passing a structural check is not experimental proof that a reaction condition will work.
Actual model usage is recorded after the response, while the account shows a percentage allowance. Lab Pro tool entitlement is separate from the selected answer-quality mode.
Sources
Source-record checks verify supplied DOI records; they do not automatically establish that every claim is supported by the paper.
